Top Ten Current Code Enforcement Priorities

- Signs or Banners displayed or erected must have a permit.
- Abandoned or derelict vehicles on private and public property, including vehicles parked on or across sidewalks & servitudes, are illegal.
- Placement of any message or sign on utility poles, servitudes, neutral ground (median) or public property is illegal.
- Business permits & licenses must be current and displayed for public viewing.
- Operation of a business in a residential area requires an occupational permit.
- Litter, junk, overgrown grass and derelict housing ordinances will be enforced.
- Mobile homes must meet zoning and permitting requirements. All structures must meet the 2006 ICC building codes per state law.
- Building permits (shed, renovations, fences, roofs, etc.) are required on all structures.
- Address markings (contrast color and appropriate size) are required on all structures.
- Basketball goals must be 15 foot from servitude.
Definition - Servitude: a right by which something (as a piece of land) owned by one person is subject to a specified use or enjoyment by another. A servitude is reserved for public utilities, drainage, and other purposes, but you, the homeowner, own this strip of ground.
