Ashley Kelly Swim Program - This year’s Ashley Kelly Swimming Program began on Monday June 16, 2014. Parents and students were treated to an informative session from the Lake Pontchartrain Basin Foundation. The 75 students were divided among the 10 instructors and received valuable information regarding the basic techniques for swimming. Several students were fearful when first entering the pool; however, with the assistance of the Red Cross Facilitator, Jody Tolliver, the instructors were able to provide a relaxed environment for all to participate. This year’s instructors include Anita Hefler, Melynie Wright, Madison Stewart, Darien Rixner, Darius Rixner, Peter Spanenburg, Ousbiana Johnson, Noah Duncan, Tiffany Spanenburg, and Daniel Brown.
