The mission of St. John the Baptist Parish Parks and Recreation Department is to ensure the highest quality of recreational activities to the citizens of the Parish. Primarily but not exclusive to this mission is to ensure the quality, safety and beauty of the recreational environments. We are striving to meet close to home recreational needs.
Our Motto is: "Recreation's purpose is not to kill time but to make time live; not to keep a person occupied, but to keep them refreshed: not to offer an escape from life, but to provide a discovery of life."
