Conservation Measures Lifted for LaPlace Residents

Thursday, February 21, 2013

The St. John the Baptist Parish Utilities Department and Boh Bros. Construction have completed repairs to a wastewater line located at the corner of Belle Terre Blvd and Airline Hwy. Conservation measures for residents located North of Airline Hwy from River Parishes Hospital to Main Street and all residents from Main Street to the St. John/St. Charles Parish line have been lifted. Normal water usage activities can resume.

The water system was not impacted during repair work; therefore, water consumption is safe.

"Thank you for your conservation efforts during repairs. Crews worked efficiently through the night and the morning to get the system back in service as soon as possible," said Utilities Director Virgil Rayneri.  With weather moving into the area, Boh Bros Construction will clean up the area and aesthetic repairs will be made next week.
