ST. JOHN THE BAPTIST PARISH – In an effort to keep residents informed during emergencies, St. John the Baptist Parish and Entergy have notification systems that alert residents and customers of emergencies and power outages through cell phones and emails. St. John the Baptist Parish and Entergy are encouraging all residents to sign up for emergency alerts today!
Beginning October 22 and lasting through November 16, St. John Parish and Entergy will register residents for emergency alerts at locations throughout the parish beginning with Matherne’s Supermarket on Monday, October 22 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Other organizations and churches are encouraged to register members at meetings and/or events. Spending one minute to register for emergency notifications could save hours of frustration during power outages.
