St. John Residents Encouraged to Participate in National Night Out Against Crime

ST. JOHN THE BAPTIST PARISH – St. John the Baptist Parish invites residents to join in on the 2012 National Night Out Against Crime Tuesday, October 16, 2012. The Night Out Against Crime campaign involves residents, law enforcement agencies, businesses, neighborhood organizations and local officials joining together in an effort to heighten awareness and strengthen participation in local anti-crime efforts. Many neighborhoods in St. John host parties on this night to show their support and commitment to keeping their neighborhoods safe.
 
National Night Out Against Crime is designed to:

• Heighten crime and drug prevention awareness
• Generate support for anti-crime programs
• Strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships
• Send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back
