St. John residents are invited to celebrate River Parishes Day at Tulane Football this Saturday, September 29 at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. The Tulane Greenwave will face off against the Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks at 2:30 p.m. The first 200 tickets are free for youth and adults can purchase a ticket for $10. For ticket inquiries please call Parks & Recreation at 652-9569 or visit the office at 200 Regala Park Road in Reserve. The first 100 kids to sign up for River Parishes Day will be granted pre-game access to form a tunnel as the Tulane football players enter the field. “This is an opportunity for our residents to support our local talent and enjoy a college football game. River Parish residents are encouraged to attend the game and enjoy an evening with the Green Wave,” said Parish President Natalie Robottom.
The game day experience for children and youth in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome will include:
• Tailgating at the Superdome in a specified area (includes food and beverages)
• Participation in a human tunnel on the field for the Tulane football team
• Acknowledgement of the River Parishes on the Mercedes-Benz score board
Bus transportation will be available to and from the game on Saturday between 8:00 and 8:30 a.m. at one of the four locations listed below:
East Bank West Bank
Winn Dixie Veterans Memorial Bridge
1830 W. Airline Hwy., LaPlace
Monte Carlos Gas Station St. John the Baptist Catholic Church

“The Parish Administration and the Department of Parks & Recreation continue to support non-traditional experiences for our youth and encourage them to explore a variety of athletic venues,” said Parks & Recreation Director Terrence Jones.
