DSNAP Site to Close on Sunday and Re-Open Monday

The Louisiana Department of Child and Family Services will close the St. John the Baptist Parish D-SNAP, food stamp, site located at New Wine Christian Fellowship, 1929 W. Airline Hwy, LaPlace Sunday, September 9 to allow for church services.  The site will re-open Monday morning for last names ending in “S” – “Z”, and walk-ins will be welcome on Tuesday, September 10 and Wednesday, September 11 for assistance.

Although the St. John the Baptist Parish location will be closed, other locations listed below will remain open for letters “S” – “Z” on Sunday.

1. Ascension Parish - Lamar Dixon Expo Center, 9039 St. Landry Rd., Gonzales
2. Jefferson Parish - Alario Center, 2000 Segnette Blvd., Westwego
3. Jefferson Parish - Grand Isle Multiplex, 3101 Hwy 1, Grand Isle
4. Lafourche Parish - South Lafourche Parish Library, 16241 East Main, Cutoff
5. Livingston Parish - Amvets, 26890 Hwy. 42, Springfield
6. Orleans Parish - University of New Orleans, 6801 Franklin Ave., New Orleans
7. St. Charles Parish - Mount Airy Baptist Church, Boutte - Shuttle Service will transport applicants from parking area on LA 1 at Hwy 310 under the Luling Bridge to the DSNAP site at.
8. St. Tammany Parish - John Slidell Park, 105 Robert Blvd., Slidell
9. St. Tammany - YMCA, 71256 Francis Road, Covington
