Hurricane Isaac 8pm UPDATE **NEW

CURFEW remains in EFFECT until further notice. WATER in LaPlace remains OFF.

**FLOODING: The National Weather Service is forecasting continued flooding as Isaac moves north. Extreme caution is advised. The following subdivisions have experienced flooding issues: River Forest, Belle Terre, River Oaks, Summerlin Estates, Old 51, Cambridge, Palmetto Lakes, Carmel Valley, Riverlands Heights, Canterbury area, behind AOL School, Riverforest, Live Oak Landing, and Country Club.

 **EVACUATION PICK UP POINTS: Anyone trying to escape the rising flood waters should head to the following common neighborhood pick up points:

Area: Cambridge                     Pick Up Point – Home Depot

Area: New Hwy 51                 Pick Up Point – Car Wash on Hwy 51 or Home Depot

**Area: Belle Terre                 Pick Up Point – Corner of St Andrews Blvd and Country Club Drive

**Area: Riverlands Heights    Pick Up Point – Movie Theatre, 1312 W. Airline Hwy

ASSISTANCE: If anyone is unable to walk to the neighborhood pick up point listed above due to a medical condition, please call 985-652-2222 to arrange for pick up at their home.

HOSPITAL - OPEN

SCHOOL: CLOSED until Tuesday, September 4th

POWER: 95% of St. John Parish remains without power.

Search and Rescue: State Police, National Guard, Wildlife and Fisheries, and St. John Sheriff and Fire personnel are performing search and rescue operations.
