LaPlace Water Customers Under Boil Water Advisory

Tuesday, August 14, 2012

Due to a rupture in the main 24 inch water line to the Ruddock water system, St. John
the Baptist Parish Utilities Department was forced to discontinue water services to the LaPlace area during repairs as a safety precaution.

The Utilities Department and Boh Bros Construction, LLC are currently making repairs to the water line and are expected to have water service restored to all residents within the next two hours.  When water service is restored, LaPlace water customers, including schools and businesses, will be under a boil water advisory as mandated by the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals.

Residents in Reserve, Garyville, and Mount Airy are now lifted from the water conservation measures.  River Parish Hospital have maintained water service throughout the repairs.

Once additional information is received, notifications will be released. For more information please visit or tune in to Channel 15.
