Weather Alert: Flash Flood Warning In Effect for St. John the Baptist Parish

ST. JOHN THE BAPTIST PARISH – A flash flood warning is currently in effect for St. John the Baptist Parish, specifically LaPlace and Reserve areas until 9:00 p.m. Rainfall amounts of one to two inches are possible in these areas within a short time period. The St. John Office of Emergency Preparedness (OEP) and administration is in contact with up to date weather advisories and the National Weather Service.
If an emergency occurs as a result of this rain event, please contact the 911 communications department by dialing 9-1-1. Residents are asked to stay off the roads during this time; however, if avoidable, residents are asked to use extreme safety on the roads and to idle through high water.
