Following a leak that began on Monday afternoon at Ruddock Water Well #1, the St. John Utilities Department in conjunction with Griner Drilling Service Inc. assessed the area for needed repairs and found that the problem was localized at the head flange (located at ground level) of the well which made repair work much easier. As a result of the conservation measures, the Utilities Department was able to maintain normal water services to the entire East Bank. All water conservation measures have been lifted and the well systems are now functioning according to standard operating procedures.
“We appreciate conservation efforts made by our residents and businesses during repairs and we apologize for the inconvenience it may have caused,” said Utilities Director Virgil Rayneri.
