Thursday, May 24, 2012

Parish officials joined the Infinity Holding Group, LLC for the grand opening of Infinity Sports Bar and Grill at 1400 West Airline Highway in LaPlace, which was previously Dot’s Diner. Terrence Jones, Director of Parks and Recreation and Sheriff Elect Michael Tregre attended the grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony as the doors of the restaurant were officially opened.  Infinity Sports Bar and Grill offers hamburgers, chicken, fish, a variety of sandwiches, and other menu items.  There are also plans to offer steak and seafood nights once per week.  In addition to a restaurant and bar, there are six televisions, a jukebox, and a basketball shooting game.  Plans are underway to purchase additional sports related games and televisions to offer prime viewing throughout the restaurant.

Infinity Holding Group, LLC was created five years ago and is comprised of five local men, June Thomas, Barry Batiste, Wayne Roussel, Edgar Cambre and Ryan Cambre.  “Since our existence, we have researched a number of investments, and when the diner closed, we thought it would be a perfect spot for a bar and grill,” said owner, June Thomas.  All five men work locally and have high hopes for their first new investment.  Before opening the new business, the walls and floors were repainted and refinished, giving the restaurant “face-lift”.

Infinity Sports Bar and Grill is open seven days per week, Monday through Wednesday, 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Thursday through Sunday, 5:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m.
