Parish President Natalie Robottom, Chief Administrative Officer Theresa Rodgers, and Councilman Marvin Perrilloux joined owners Lilly Tran and her brother, Elvis Tran, their family, employees and customers to celebrate the grand opening of "Let’s Top It", the new yogurt shop in LaPlace. The official opening featured door prizes, yogurt sampling and special treats for the large crowd in attendance. The new store opened its doors on December 17, 2011.
"Let’s Top It" is a family-owned, self-serve yogurt shop offering ten flavors of yogurt with over forty toppings. “Some of our products are non-fat, while others are low-fat or contain no sugar. We also offer a sorbet flavor for customers who cannot tolerate dairy products,” said Lilly Tran. “We rotate six of the flavors depending on the popularity and the season,” she added. Vanilla, chocolate, cake batter, and original tart are the four permanent flavors in the shop. Regular customer, Audra Liddell, was excited about the grand opening and expressed her appreciation for their service. She said, “they have great customer service and the employees are very polite. My son and I enjoy stopping in after school for a treat.”
"Let’s Top It" also offers catering for a variety of events. This includes two flavors of yogurt, six to eight toppings, and one staff member to assist at the stations. “This is a great addition to St. John the Baptist Parish and I wish them a great deal of success. I encourage our residents to support "Let’s Top It" as our newest local business,” said Parish President Natalie Robottom.
"Let’s Top It" is located at 150 Belle Terre Blvd. in LaPlace. Their hours of operation are Sunday from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
