A weather advisory has been issued for St. John the Baptist Parish. A slight risk of severe weather is expected as a surface low and cold front move through the area. According to the National Weather Service, “the main threat will be strong and damaging winds. The threat will advance from west to east during the morning hours and will then taper off as the front passes through.”
A tornado watch remains in effect until 1:00 p.m. for Southeast Louisiana and Southern Mississippi. The National Weather Service predicts one to two small, isolated tornadoes.
