The St. John Utilities Department will conduct a water system maintenance project on Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at 6:00 pm through Friday, November 18, 2011.
This is a routine maintenance project that involves the replacement of approximately three-hundred eighty (380) membranes in the water filtration system at Station #3 in LaPlace. Although not anticipated, LaPlace residents may experience lower than normal water pressure and are asked to refrain from non-essential uses, such as filling pools, washing vehicles, flushing lines, and all other activities that require large quantities of water.
Employees of the Utilities Department and contractors installing the membranes will make every effort to complete this project in a timely fashion. Should there be any questions or concerns about the water, please call the St. John Parish Utilities Department at 985-651-6800 between 7:00 A.M and 3:30 P.M. If there is an emergency, please dial 911. Additional information can be found on the parish website at www.sjbparish.com or by tuning in to Channel 15.
As providing safe and clean water remains our number one priority, the Administration has gone to great lengths to facilitate timely completion of this project. Your cooperation and patience are greatly appreciated.
