A weather advisory has been issued for St. John the Baptist Parish. Residents can expect a few strong to severe thunderstorms that may track from west to east across portions of southeastern Louisiana and Southwestern/coastal Mississippi. According to the National Weather Service, “this is not expected to be a widespread event; however, the threat still exists.”
The primary threats will be thunderstorms, heavy wind, possible hail and isolated tornadoes to move in the area this evening through tonight. This weather system is expected to be followed by a cold front.
