Dashingirlz Owner Goes From Website Only to Store Front
August 12, 2011
Parish President Natalie Robottom, her administrative staff, Council member Jaclyn Hotard, and a host of other supporters, family and friends participated in a ribbon cutting ceremony for Dashingirlz, the new gift boutique in Reserve. The new boutique was filled with excitement and chatter, as visitors browsed through wall-to-wall hand-made items. St. John Parish native, Melissa Alexander Roussel, recently turned her website business into a store front business offering an array of merchandise for all ages.
Dashingirlz includes an assortment of gifts with the option to customize and personalize each purchase. Roussel displays many of her own creations as well as merchandise created by other local vendors. Shoppers can expect to find custom rhinestone tees, handmade jewelry by Simply Susan, smocked clothing by Tiny Stitches, monogrammed bows and accessories by Tina Porrier, handmade soy candles, personalized glass gifts, and an array of other items. Gift wrapping is also available with store purchases. “This boutique is a perfect place to shop for a friend, colleague or family member. I encourage residents to stop by, especially those gearing up for football season,” stated Parish President Natalie Robottom.
Roussel is continuing to accept orders through her website at www.dashingirlz.com for online and out-of-town shoppers, but she invites local shoppers to visit her new boutique. “Our new business is off to a great start, and I look forward to meeting new customers personally,” stated owner, Melissa Roussel.
