The St. John Utilities Department will be making upgrades to the Lions Water Plant tonight, Thursday, August 11, 2011 between 10:00 P.M. and 2:00 AM.
Although not anticipated, Reserve, Garyville, and Mount Airy residents may experience lower than normal water pressure and are asked to refrain from non-essential uses, such as filling pools, washing vehicles, flushing lines, and all other activities that require large quantities of water.
Employees of the Utilities Department and contractors making upgrades will make every effort to complete this project in a timely fashion. Should there be any questions or concerns about the water, please call the Lions Water Plant at 985-536-4396. If there is an emergency, please dial 911. Additional information can be found on the parish website at www.sjbparish.com or by tuning in to Channel 15.
As providing safe and clean water remains our number one priority, the Administration has gone to great lengths to facilitate timely completion of this project. Your cooperation and patience are greatly appreciated.
