The St. John Utilities Department will conduct a water system maintenance project on Thursday, July 14, 2011 between 10:00 P.M. and 6:00 A.M.
This is a routine maintenance project that involves the replacement of seventy (70) membranes in the water filtration system at Station #3 in LaPlace. Although not anticipated, east bank residents may experience lower than normal water pressure and are asked to refrain from non-essential uses, such as filling pools, washing vehicles, flushing lines, and all other activities that require large quantities of water.
Employees of the Utilities Department and contractors installing the membranes will make every effort to complete this project in a timely fashion. Should there be any questions or concerns about the water, please call the St. John Parish Utilities Department at 985-651-6800 between 7:00 A.M and 3:30 P.M. on Friday. Additional information can be found by tuning in to Channel 15.
As providing safe and clean water remains our number one priority, the Administration has gone to great lengths to facilitate timely completion of this project. Your cooperation and patience are greatly appreciated.
