Parish President Natalie Robottom and her staff spent the last several months designing and re-designing a new Parish website with users in mind. The new website was developed by Charles Daigle of Outlook Design to allow users to easily navigate through the site and access services available through St. John the Baptist Parish Government. “I wanted a website that is appealing to the eye, but user friendly. It is important that the information is clearly written and well organized. It should be a resource to our residents,” stated Robottom. Based on extensive research by staff, the new site offers a new face, tasteful design, access for employees, and interactive applications such as maps and forms, and numerous links to related sites.
The new website also clearly defines the role of each department, the responsibilities of each director, and increases the number and scope of services available over the internet. “As we strive for transparency and develop operational policies and procedures, the new website will allow us to share information not previously available to the public,” stated Parish President Natalie Robottom. Moving forward the website will include current contracts, capital projects, and procedures for online review and monitoring.
While the new site is “live”, additional improvements and updates will be forthcoming. Parish President Robottom requests patience and feedback from users during this transition. Please feel free to browse the site and sign up to receive St. John Parish’s latest news releases. Feedback regarding the new website is welcome and can be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org.
