Parish President Natalie Robottom, her administrative staff and employees of St. John the Baptist Parish participated in a toy drive to benefit local children in the foster care system.  Each parish department received an angel ornament that represented a foster family.  Listed on the ornament were the age and gender of the children and in some cases their Christmas wish.

Toys, gifts, and clothing were collected from each department for distribution to foster families in need of help this Christmas.   "There are many families in need during this holiday season, but our efforts were intended to ease the burden of our foster families.  We are hopeful that our donations will generate smiles on the faces of these children on Christmas morning," said Natalie Robottom, Parish President.

If you are interested in making a donation or being a foster or adoptive parent, please contact the Office of Children and Family Services for more information or visit their website at http://www.dss.louisiana.gov/
