In spirit of Thanksgiving, Parish President Natalie Robottom and her administration participated in a food drive to collect donations for those families in need this holiday season. Donations of a variety of can goods and non-perishable food items were collected from parish employees last week. On Friday, November 19, 2010, Parish President Natalie Robottom and her administration delivered a total of six large boxes to the St. John Ministry of Care Food Bank. "I was very pleased as was the St. John Ministry of Care with the turnout of our donations. It was important to us to give to those less fortunate which showed through our donations. I would like to extend a special thank you to all who donated to our food drive," said Parish President Natalie Robottom.
The St. John Ministry of Care is a local food bank who accepts donations throughout the entire year. As their food bank was low, the Parish Administration decided to deliver all donations to their agency. Our donations are also ensured to be delivered to local residents in need through this agency. We are encouraging all to make donations at this time and throughout the year as it is not just during the holidays when some of our residents are in need of extra help.
If you are in need of help this year or would like to donate food items, please contact the St. John Ministry of Care.
