Reserve Boat Launch

St. John Parish President Natalie Robottom joined her administration, parish council members, other elected officials, and members of the community for a ceremonial groundbreaking of the Reserve Boat Launch improvement project.  This $540,000 project is being funded by dollars from the 2002 Bond issue and the Wallop-Breaux grant which provides federal aid in sporting and fishing through its Restoration Act.  The groundbreaking took place Monday, August 2, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at the site in Reserve .

The rehabilitation of the Reserve Boat Launch will improve boating access to the Reserve Canal and will permit public access to the waterways.  The project will include new piers, new parking, and two lakes at the entrance which will also serve as retention ponds.  The construction contract was awarded to L & L General Contractors, LLC.

"This much needed upgrade to the Reserve Boat Launch will greatly enhance the area and provide additional amenities to those residents who utilize it," said Parish President Robottom.
