ST. JOHN THE BAPTIST PARISH - On Saturday, December 10, 2016 voters will decide whether or not to rededicate an existing tax revenue to fund the juvenile justice system. THIS IS NOT A NEW TAX NOR A TAX INCREASE.
With voter approval, this rededication will fund:
“With NO NEW TAXES, this rededication would fund enhancements to parish juvenile justice services. It is extremely important that you vote on enhancing St. John’s Juvenile Justice System,” said Parish President Robottom.
Residents can vote early for the rededication at the Percy Hebert building in LaPlace and the Courthouse in Edgard beginning this Saturday, November 26 through Saturday, December 3. Early voting hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Election Day voting will take place 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at each polling location.
