St. John the Baptist Parish – Residents are reminded to vote in the United States Presidential/Congressional Election and Open Primary tomorrow, Tuesday, November 8, 2016 if they have not done so already.
Polling sites throughout the parish will be open from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Voters are asked to bring a driver's license; a Louisiana Special ID; or some other picture ID that contains your name and signature. Residents can obtain a free Louisiana Special ID at the Office of Motor Vehicles by showing their voters registration information card. Those who have no picture ID may bring a utility bill, payroll check or government document that includes their name and address to vote.
A list of polling locations in St. John the Baptist Parish can be found on the Louisiana Secretary of State’s website or by calling the St. John Parish Registrar of Voters Office.
To visit the Secretary of State's website for more information, www.sos.louisiana.gov , click on the election tab on the side bar to the left, then click, "Where do I vote" and enter your name, date of birth and parish, and click search. This will give you your poll location.
