Early Voting Begins October 25

ST. JOHN THE BAPTIST PARISH - Early voting for the Tuesday, November 8, 2016 Open Primary and Presidential/Congressional Election begins tomorrow, Tuesday, October 25 and continues through Tuesday, November 1 (excluding Sunday). 
 
St. John the Baptist Parish residents can vote early at the Percy Hebert Building in LaPlace and the Parish Courthouse in Edgard.
Early voting hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.  To view an election ballot, visit the Louisiana Secretary of State’s website.
Due to ongoing construction at the Percy Hebert Building, handicap patrons should utilize the parking area on the Emergency Operations/Walgreens side of the building with access to the handicap ramp. Early voters should also plan for higher than normal traffic near the building and limited parking.
 
On Election Day, polling sites throughout the parish will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Voters are asked to provide photo identification. Residents can obtain a free Louisiana Special ID at the Office of Motor Vehicles by showing their voters registration information card.  Campaign paraphernalia and clothing is not allowed at the polls or during early voting.  A list of polling locations in St. John the Baptist Parish can be found on the Louisiana Secretary of State’s website or by calling the St. John Parish Registrar of Voters Office.
