Vendors Needed for Creole Farmers’ Market
Friday, September 25, 2015
ST. JOHN THE BAPTIST PARISH – As the summer winds down, the St. John the Baptist Parish Creole Farmers’ Market Committee will close the market temporarily beginning Saturday, September 26, 2015 to allow vendors to prepare for the upcoming fall/winter season and for the accumulation of additional vendors. Additional information will be released upon reopening.
Local farmers are encouraged to participate and sell locally grown products at the market on Saturdays to residents and visitors. Market offerings include fruits and vegetables, meat products, seafood, jellies/jams, honey, baked goods, seasonal items and homemade crafts. Each vendor receives their own individual space for selling once registered.
Anyone interested in becoming a vendor can visit the Parish's website at sjbparish.com for a Creole Farmers' Market vendor application form or pick up an application from the St. John Economic Development Department at 1801 W. Airline Hwy in LaPlace. The Economic Development Department can be reached at 985-652-9569 for more information.
The Creole Farmers' Market is located at 5793 Highway 18 near the foot of the Veterans Memorial Bridge in Wallace. The market offers fresh, nutritious and locally grown products at affordable prices.
