ST. JOHN THE BAPTIST PARISH – During the week of August 31- September 4, St. John the Baptist Parish will celebrate Voters Education Week, and representatives from St. John's Registrar of Voters Office are conducting voter registration drives. Representatives will visit locations throughout the Parish to increase voter registration in St. John the Baptist Parish. A primary election is scheduled for October 24, 2015, and the last day to register to vote is September 23, 2015.
Voter Registration Drives will take place at the following locations:
Monday, August 31
8:05 a.m. – Riverside Academy, 332 Railroad Ave., Reserve 9:00 a.m. – South Central Louisiana Technical College, Reserve Campus, 181 Regala Park Rd., Reserve 10:45 a.m. – West St. John High School – 480 Hwy 3127, Edgard
Tuesday, September 1
9:00 a.m. – Southeast Louisiana War Veterans Home, 4004 W. Airline Hwy, Reserve
Wednesday, September 2
12:00 noon - St. Charles Catholic High School, 100 Dominican Dr., LaPlace
Thursday, September 3
7:20 a.m. – East St. John High School, #1 Wildcat Dr., Reserve
Friday, September 4
10:15 a.m. – Eastbank St. John Council on Aging Office, 214 Regala Park Rd., Reserve
10:30 a.m. – Westbank St. John Council on Aging Office, 155 East 3rd St., Edgard
Early voting for the October 24th election will take place Oct. 10-17 at the Registrar of Voters Office located inside the Percy Hebert Building on the Eastbank and Edgard Courthouse on the Westbank. In addition to early voting and voting on Election Day, seniors, individuals with mobility impairments, and students and residents who will be out-of-town for the election, are reminded of the option to vote by mail. Residents can obtain mail-in ballots by calling the Registrar of Voters Office to file a request. Please also be advised of recent precinct changes.
