ST. JOHN THE BAPTIST PARISH – Nykya Perrilloux Freemont was recommended by Parish President Natalie Robottom and confirmed as Director of Human Resources at Tuesday’s council meeting.  Freemont is a native of St. John the Baptist Parish and a resident of LaPlace. After working in Houston and Atlanta, Freemont made her way back home and has worked for St. John the Baptist Parish since September.  During her time in the Finance and Human Resources Departments, Freemont has demonstrated the knowledge, temperament and organizational skills to serve the parish well in this leadership position.

Freemont replaces former Director, Stacey Cador, who is resigning her position after 11 years of service to spend time with her family.  “I am grateful for Ms. Cador’s continuous service to St. John Parish and wish her the best in all future endeavors,” said Parish President Natalie Robottom.  “She has been an asset to the parish and has provided Ms. Freemont the necessary tools to ensure a smooth transition.”

Freemont holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Southern University, a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix, and a second Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of New Orleans.  She has accounting as well as management experience, and has worked for publicly traded companies with net revenues in excess of $10 billion.

“I am extremely grateful to Parish President Robottom and the Council for the opportunity to serve as Director of Human Resources for St. John the Baptist Parish.  My goals are to administer HR policies effectively and efficiently, while maintaining internal customer satisfaction and providing development programs to help staff and managers accomplish their goals.  I look forward to working with the Administration, the Council and staff towards the continued advancement of St. John Parish,” said Freemont.
