In the spirit of Thanksgiving, Parish President Natalie Robottom and her staff delivered boxes of canned goods to the St. John Ministry of Care and a faith-based food drive as a donation to residents in need during the holidays.
Through a partnership between residents, festival goers, Parish officials and staff, hundreds of canned goods were received on Friday night of the Andouille Festival with a $1 admission fee. Robottom and her staff sorted and packed the items for delivery which will benefit more than 100 families.
“We would like to thank everyone who donated canned goods at the Festival and assure them that their contributions will make a significant impact on our community,” said President Robottom. “With the combined generosity of our residents and employees, we can give hope and support to those who need it most in difficult times.”
