ST. JOHN THE BAPTIST PARISH – The Utilities Department and Subterranean Construction, LLC will begin the LA 637 Waterline Relocation Project on October 6, 2014.  The project will consist of relocation of various water lines in multiple locations along LA 637 (aka West 10th) in Reserve.  This project will accommodate roadway widening and drainage improvements in connection with the Department of Transportation and Development’s (DOTD) LA 637 Port of South Louisiana Connector Project.

Residents and businesses in this area can expect heavy equipment along LA 637; however, road closures are not expected at this time.  As the project progresses, communications will be sent to those who may be affected during construction.  Motorists are asked to use caution in the area and be on the lookout for crews working alongside the roadway.

Subterranean Construction, LLC was awarded the contract in the amount of $1,564,313 at the June 24, 2014 Finance Committee Meeting with a 270 day contract time. The project is estimated to be complete by July 2015.
