St. John the Baptist Parish – Parish President Natalie Robottom recently held the 4th annual Academic Luncheon to honor Valedictorians, Salutatorians and Students, Teachers and Principals of the year from all public and private schools at Belle Terre Country Club.

The event featured a complimentary meal, Certificates of Achievement and keepsake photos for all guests. Dr. Brittani McClain Breaux, LaPlace resident and East St. John High, Loyola University and Louisiana State University School of Medicine graduate, served as the guest speaker. “To all of the teachers, educators, and those responsible for molding young minds, you have powers beyond measure. You never know who is sitting in your classroom. To all of the students, you are future lawyers, doctors, presidents, educators, astronauts, engineers, politicians, mechanics, plant operators, architects…whatever you think you will become.”

President Robottom commended the attendees on their exemplery performance and understanding of the value of hard work. “Your goals and aspirations don’t stop here,” said President Robottom. “Congratulations and we look forward to having you come back and share your success stories in the future.”

Other special guests included Council Members Marvin Perrilloux, Lucien Gauff, Larry Snyder and Lennix Madere as well as School Board Members Russ Wise and Keith Jones.

“The academic luncheon was a success,” said Council Chairman Marvin Perrilloux. It was a rewarding event that the Parish President, council members, and school board members took the time out to say thank you. Thanks again to Mrs. Robottom and her staff for hosting a great event.”
