ST. JOHN THE BAPTIST PARISH - The St. John the Baptist Parish Economic Development Committee (EDC), the Parish Council, the School Board, and business partners are sponsoring the 2014 Summer Youth Job Fair on Saturday, May 3 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the St. John Community Center, 2900 Hwy 51, LaPlace.

The job fair is an opportunity for high school and college students ages 16 to 24 to meet and interview with local businesses in the pursuit of summer job opportunities. All participants must be enrolled in school and present proof of residency in St. John Parish.
Local businesses are invited to set up booths/tables for completion of job applications and on-site interviews. A list of available positions is requested.

“The St. John EDC recognizes that our young people are our most valuable resource. We hope this event will inspire young people to take an active role in our community by accessing meaningful job opportunities,” said EDC Chairman Rodney Nicholas.
