ST. JOHN THE BAPTIST PARISH– Barriere Construction will be working on a road improvement project in Garyville throughout this month. Beginning tomorrow, Tuesday, February 4, 2014, crews will work at Museum St. and Historic Main St. and continue on North Church St. and Historic Front St through next week.
The road work is in relation to the CN Railroad crossing improvements that began in the fall of 2013. All residents will have access to their homes during construction but are asked to use caution and lookout for work crews and their equipment. All construction is expected to be complete by March 2014.
Road work signs will be placed in appropriate places to notify motorists of construction. All fire departments and emergency personnel have been advised of the construction work and have developed alternate routes for response.
