In the spirit of the Holiday Season, Parish President Natalie Robottom, her Administrative Staff, and St. John Parish employees teamed up to serve families in need for Christmas. In what is now an annual tradition, boxes and baskets filled with can goods, non-perishable food items, and gift certificates for turkeys and/or hams were decorated and assembled with holiday fixings for local families. A total of twenty two boxes/baskets of food were donated and distributed to needy families Friday afternoon, just in time for holiday meal preparations.
“I want to extend a special thank you to all of our employees who participated in this service project. Working together, our efforts gave joy to twenty-two families. I am extremely pleased that this tradition of giving continues to put smiles on the faces of our residents for the holidays,” said Parish President Natalie Robottom.
The families receiving food donations were identified through the Department of Health and Human Services. Additional resources for needy families may be available through local churches and the St. John Ministry of Care.
