St. John the Baptist Parish has received an allocation of $32,694,000 million in disaster recovery funding from the State of Louisiana, Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG), to address the unmet needs associated with the impact of Hurricane Isaac. St. John the Baptist Parish will hold a public hearing to solicit input from the public in developing the Isaac Parish Proposal, which will identify the priority projects that meet the needs of the community.
The public hearing will be held on Wednesday October 2, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. in the St. John the Baptist Parish Council Chambers Room, 1801 West Airline Highway, Laplace, LA. The purpose of this hearing is to review disaster recovery needs as a result of Hurricane Isaac. Topics of discussion for public input include housing, infrastructure, economic development and projects identified through the Citizen Advisory Committee, Community Recovery Strategy. Public comments on these topics will be solicited as part of the public hearing.
