Keep St. John Beautiful Committee invites St. John to Adopt-A-Spot

Friday, April 26, 2013

Keep St. John Beautiful, in partnership with the St. John the Baptist Parish Department of Public Works invites you to Adopt-A-Spot. The purpose fo the Adopt-A-Spot program is to engage the community whereby civic-minded organzations will participate in the beautification of their store fronts, subdivision entrances, faith-based facilities and parish roadways. It also encourages residents to work to improve their neighborhoods by cleaning littered curbs, sidewalks, vacant lots, cutting grass, pulling high weeds, and planting flowers. This program will also help contribute toward the goal set forth by St. John the Baptist Parish to Keep St. John Beautiful by collecting litter along parish roadways and facilities maintained by St. Johnt the Baptist Parish.

We encourage residents and businesses to take part in this exciting and new innovative program by "adopting" a portion of your neighborhood. From business districts to your own block, beautification and maintenence of your own "spot" will benefit the entire community. St. John the Baptist Parish will work with the adopting organization or group to determine the specific needs of those roadway segments or facilities in question and eligibility of said roadway or facility for adoption.

To Adopt-A-Spot, fill out the registration form and return it to the receptionist's desk at the Percy Hebert Building, 1801 W. Airline Hwy in LaPlace. For questions or more information please contact Dana Milioto at 985-652-9569.
