Tornado Watch Issued for St. John Parish

ST. JOHN THE BAPTIST PARISH – The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch until 3:00 p.m. today for portions of Southeast Louisiana including St. John the Baptist Parish. A slight risk for severe weather remains including isolated thunderstorms and possible damaging winds as a cold front moves across the area. Residents are asked to use caution when venturing outdoors during the weather event and dial 9-1-1 to report any issues or concerns.  

The St. John the Baptist Parish Office of Emergency Preparedness is in contact with the National Weather Service to receive the latest weather updates and forecasts.  Please keep any debris that is capable of blowing in streets or drainage systems off of the lawns.
