Annual Andouille Pageant being held Saturday
The 2009 St. John Parish Andouille Teen and Miss Pageant will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2009 at the St. John Theatre, 115 West 4th Street, Reserve, LA. Tickets for the event are $8 per person and can be purchased at the theatre before the pageant.
The annual pageant has been held at St. John Theatre for over a decade and brings together many of the young women in St. John who compete for the title of Miss and Teen Andouille. The 2008 Miss Andouille Queen Kristen Levron will relinquish her title on October 3rd to the theme of "The Spirit of Andouille" at 7:00 pm. The audience will be entertained with several acts including a performance of "Memories" by Jennifer Deslatte, a masked man singing "Music of the Night" played by Brent Torres, and the highlight of the evening is sure to be a dance act by a group of zombies to the eternally famous "Thriller". The 2009 Mistress of Ceremonies is Miss Brittany Mora.
The Baby Andouille Pageant will be held on October 4, 2009 at St. John Theatre and those wishing to enter their children should contact Dana Milioto at 985-652-9569. More information and entry forms can also be found at www.andouillefestival.com .
"This is a great annual event where local young women come out and compete to represent their parish. I encourage everyone to attend and enjoy the production," said Acting Parish President Pat McTopy.
