VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance)
Free Tax preparation provided to single or married people who worked full-time or part-time and qualify for Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC), depending on their income.
Appointments available on Thursdays and Fridays beginning January 17, 2012 through April 17, 2012.
Call the Health and Human Services Department at 985-536-4955 for an appointment.
Items to Bring:
- Identification
- Social Security Cards for tax payer and tax payer's dependants
- Birthdates for tax payer, tax payer's spouse, and dependants
- Total paid for day care (if applicable); Day Care Provider's Tax ID Number and Address
- Homeowners Insurance Declaration Page (LA Citizens Insurance Tax Credit)
*IF FILING JOIINT RETURN ELECTRONICALLY, BOTH SPOUSES MUST BE PRESENT TO SIGN FORMS.*
