New Orleans International Airport is conveniently located 20 miles east of St. John Parish. Every major domestic airline and several international carriers serve the New Orleans International Airport, providing one-and-two- stop service to nearly all major domestic and international destinations.

St. John Parish General Aviation Airport is located in Reserve and can accommodate corporate and private aircraft with the 4,000 foot runway. Waterways
Louisiana has the greatest water resource of any American state, the Mississippi River. Over its 3,800 kilometer course, the Mississippi gathers water from 42 percent of America's land mass and flows at an average 14,000 cubic meters per second as it travels through Louisiana.

The world's most important inland water system, the mighty Mississippi rolls through the center of St. John Parish a deep water channel for access to domestic and international shipping and an abundance of fresh water for processing.

Port of South Louisiana
Located along the Mississippi River midway between New Orleans and Baton Rouge, the Port of South Louisiana is just upstream from the river's junction with the Gulf of Mexico. Every year, over half of the 7,000 deep-draft vessels entering the Mississippi River call at the Port, making it the top-ranked port in the United States in both export and total tonnage.

The Gulf of Mexico makes it possible for shippers to enter the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans via the Caribbean Sea and the Panama Canal. Ships enter the Mississippi River each year from markets around the world.

Twenty miles of the Port's fifty two mile stretch of the Mississippi River is located in St. John Parish.

Globalplex Intermodal Terminal
Globalplex, a 205-acre Port of South Louisiana facility, provides a public deep water dock for both ships and barges. The facility is currently being developed into a world class intermodal terminal complete with storage, warehousing, and space for light manufacturing operations.

There is also direct service to the Kansas City Southern and Illinois Central railroads. Interstate Highways 10 and 55 are readily accessible.
