Welcome to St. John Community Center located in LaPlace, Louisiana. The 42,000 square foot multi-functional venue is designed to accommodate trade shows, sporting events, concerts, Mardi Gras events, banquets, receptions and has been acoustically designed to be utilized as a soundstage for the growing Louisiana movie industry.
The 26,000 square foot main hall has an average ceiling (28-45 ft.) and is dividable into 18,000 and 8,000 sq. ft. sections. There is also over 9,000 square feet of office, storage and multi-use space including the beautiful lobby area of the center.
The St. John Community Center provides an exciting new multi-purpose venue to the Southeast Louisiana area with a variety of configurable options.

To book an event:
- Make an appointment by calling the River Parishes Tourist
Commission at 985-359-2562 - Sign Rental Request Form
- Pay a 50% deposit along with a $500 damage deposit within 48 hours of signed rental request form. Payment must be a cashier’s check made out to St. John Parish Council.
- Obtain an insurance certificate 30 days prior to event
- Pay balance 15 days prior to event. Payment must be a cashier’s check made out to St. John Parish Council.
